Sanicat Case Study
Sanicat, Europe’s best-selling cat litter brand, was interested in launching a product line for North American pet specialty retail. They first needed to gain a better understanding of US cat owners and create an appealing packaging system for their full product line. Following a launch in PetSmart retail locations, Sanicat wanted to obtain a featured placement on Walmart.com.
Branding
Trone’s panel of US cat owners identified a core audience insight that inspired us to create Oxify™, a branded name and icon for Sanicat’s patented oxygen-infused technology. We then developed a premium US litter box packaging design system that visually demonstrated how Sanicat’s scented and unscented litter varieties keep home smelling how home should smell.

Marketing
Trone developed Sanicat’s cohesive eCommerce presence for Walmart.com, optimizing copy to improve organic search visibility within the site. Our design specialists created assets to allow shoppers to view package details, compare varieties and quickly understand the product benefits. We also created digital banners for Walmart to feature on pet-related pages to promote the brand.
Notable Accomplishments
During the 2019 Holiday season, Ellen DeGeneres selected Sanicat for “Ellen’s List,” which features her favorite new and exciting products sold on Walmart.com.
